Chantal loves drawing and painting and everything illustration. She creates illustrations for children's books and magazines but also illustrates for grown-up publications and businesses (commercial illustration).Recently her work was highly commended for her submission into the MacMillan Prize 2011.

Chantal uses a variety of materials and techniques to create her illustrations. From the traditional pen and ink with watercolour to rich multi-layered collage mixed with acrylics, gouaches and colouring pencils. Print techniques like etching are also used to get those lovely velvety deep blacks.
